The widely promoted "acceleration hypothesis" is a fraud, argues our founder

"Speed is the wrong altar to worship at: We have a flow problem, not a velocity problem,", says BetaCodex Network founder Niels Pflaeging. "The future of our organizations and our societies is rhythm and flow, not in ‘faster,‘", Pflaeging adds.

It is questionable that our world is spinning "ever faster", even though pundits of supposed progress like to preach that gospel. "The hypothesis of "constant acceleration" that so many thought leaders and even scientists like German sociologist Hartmut Rosa have advocated is a fraud", says Niels Pflaeging. “What's troubling us in our societies and at work, in organizations, is not an ever-increasing rate of change. But a seemingly never-ending misunderstanding of the power of time and, how to make clever use of it!"

"The suffering is visible to most – the solution of better time orientation isn't so obvious, though. Organizations, for example, are stuck in capacity orientation, batch processing - even in knowledge work! -, and centralized command-and-control-steering that cause endless delays, cause stop-and-go processing, and make even the simplest things like buying office supplies a challenge. We need to be better at making time a force of organizing, For ease of operation, rhythm, punctuality, flow, and the highest level of self-organization – especially in times of complexity, crises, and AI.”
